We celebrated this pure and unconditional bond of the grandparents and grandchildren on 9th November 2018 (Friday) at Kollur and Nanakramguda campus. The grandparents of the pre-primary Geckos (Play group to PP2) were invited for this celebration. It was a joyous family gathering filled with enthusiasm and energy.
Grandparents and grandchildren,
Together they create a chain of love
Linking the past,
With the future.
The chain may lengthen,
But it will never part.
Our beloved Principal, Mr Shanmugam Paramasivan, welcomed the grandparents with his valuable words and emphasized on the importance of grandparents in a child’s life and how they can enlighten the children with the worldly things. We began the celebrations with a welcome song by PP2 kids, followed by a dance by PP1 and PP2 Geckos. There were several games organized for the grandparents and their grandchildren like country run, hoola hoop and pyramid game. We ended the show by felicitating the winners of the games. Grandparents of Advika and Eshaan from Nursery, Ram Hriday and Aaradhya from PP1 and Moukthika and Lohith from PP2 won the various games. It was overwhelming to see the enthusiasm of our senior guests while participating in the games. We concluded the celebrations with a vote of thanks.
A consoling hand on our shoulders, a warm hug that takes away all our worries, the tender touch that helps heal all our wounds, the special bond that lasts forever it what we share with our grandparents and we cherish every moment spent with our grandparents.
