Our Geckos are inquiring into Inventions. They have understood the importance and purpose of different inventions. Learning new, interesting things is part of education. Field trips help students interact with what they are learning. The experience goes beyond reading about a concept; students are able to see it, manipulate it or participate in it physically. Students are able to see elements with their eyes rather than reading about it and believing what they are told. To make the inquiry more enriching, they went to a field trip to Birla science Museum. Known for transferring scientific knowledge among everyone, Birla Science Museum has been educating people since many years now. The best part about this science museum is the fact that that this dissemination of information is done in an interactive way. Interactive Science Centre is one of the many sections where exhibits are designed based on various Physics laws, mechanics, perception, vibration and sounds, energy and motors, electricity and magnetism and intriguing concepts of optical illusions and many other concepts. Mix Colours, Arch Bridge, Lift Yourself Up, Action-Reaction, The Magic Ball, Pedal Power and See Sounds are a few of the exhibits at the interaction Science section. Our geckos were astonished to see all the exhibits and very enthusiastically inquired about them. Later they visited Dinosaurium. Dinosaurium is something to look forward too. It boasts of a rare collection including fossils the Dinosaur, Kotasaurus, which dates back to almost 160 million years. The trip enabled our students to connect in a clear way with what they already know and what they are currently learning. All this newly acquired knowledge inspired our geckos to use their newfound knowledge. Field trip is a great way for the students to get maximum exposure as student gets real life experiences. Later our geckos reflected on the field trip and their learning.
