Day 1

The Gaudium school was privileged to host the CBSE Gymnastics tournament for the first time in South India. We had 1700+ athletes from more than 700 schools across the country and the middle east participating in this mega sporting event. The Gaudium Sportopia has played host to many national and international players and championships over the past few years ranging from Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Table Tennis and Football tournaments., We are proud to host this National championship today at our centre of excellence for gymnastics which is spread across 16,500 sqft and built with Olympic and gymnastics federation standards, with avant-garde equipment to train for various indoor and outdoor sports. Our facility is equipped with training men and women for artistic, rhythmic, trampoline, acrobatic gymnastics.

We are privileged to have Dr. Gurdial Singh Bawa as our Competition Manager. A senior person in the field of Gymnastics. Over the years he has contributed in Gymnastics in different roles. To name a few – as a writer he won a National Award for his book Fundamentals of Men Gymnastics” in 1994, He has Judged International Championships, as a coach he has produced International Gymnasts and medal winning teams in both girls and boys team.

Dr. Kalpana Debnath (Arjun Awardee) won the title of “All Around Best Women Gymnast of India” for 9 times in succession. She had been the Coach of the Indian Women Gymnastics Team for World Championships, Commonwealth Games, Asian Championships, and other International Competitions many times. She is a writer and judged many International Championships.

Mr. Manoj Rana – Gaudium Sportopia Mentor for Gymnastics. Completed his level 3 coaching course from the Federation International Gymnastics, Kazakhstan in 2019. He has produced International Gymnast and travelled across many countries. He is accredited Indian Senior National Team Coach (Men’s Artistic Gymnastics)

Mr. Ashish Kumar (Youngest gymnast to receive Arjun Award)- won India’s first-ever medals in gymnastics, in October 2010 at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and became the most successful Indian gymnast in Commonwealth Games history, by winning bronze and silver medals in different gymnastic events. He receives his training from our Gaudium Sportopia Mentor Mr. Manoj Rana

Ms. Liliya – from Ukraine is working with- Gaudium Sportopia as Gymnastic Coach. A Masters degree in Physical Education and in Sports (Aesthetic and Rhythmic Gymnastics), she is a Judge at International level 2 Aesthetic Group Gymnastics, has represented and won many medals in different World Championships in Aesthetic and Rhythmic Gymnastics.

Day 2: 

The CBSE National Gymnastics championship-2022 commenced at The Gaudium from 24th December under the guidance of our beloved founder and director Ms. Kirthi Reddy. Young champions across 750 schools are participating enthusiastically and have shown their grit, confidence and commitment for last two days.

Speaking on this occasion, The Gaudium Founder and Director Ms Kirthi Reddy Said , The Gaudium school has been bestowed with the opportunity and as a Founder and Director, I am privileged that we have an opportunity to host the CBSE Gymnastics tournament for the first time in South India. we have 1700+ athletes from more than 700 schools.We are  honoured to have Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, Principal secretary of Industrial commerce(I&C) and Information Technology Department of Telangana as the chief for the day presenting the medals to the students. Mr. Jayesh was impressed with The Gaudium school Gymnastics infrastructure and he wish Telangana will start getting more medals in future.Mr. Mahehswar Kunchetty- Treasurer Telangana, Olympic Association, Dr. RamMohan Reddy- Senior Consultant, Orthopedic Surgeon, Yoshada Hospitals and Mr. Prabhu Patil- Vice President, Evergent Technologies were also present in the ceremony.

 Day 3:

The CBSE National Gymnastics championship-2022 continues to enthral our participants and spectators. Young Gymnasts from CBSE schools across India showcased their skills in different form of Gymnastics.

Day 3 witnessed performances in the under 17 category, and the winners of the Day 2 competition of Artistic and Rhythmic gymnastics categories were presented medals and merit certificate by our esteemed Chief Guests Mr. Davuluri Sucheth Rao, Vice-Chairman and CEO of Neuland Laboratories and Ms. S. Sathiya , Joint Commissioner of Income Tax in 2 different categories  . Mr. Sucheth Rao was overwhelmed with the performances and addressed the young champions while sharing his own experiences as a vivid athlete.  Ms. S. Sathiya thanked Gaudium for such sport initiatives and also emphasised that the Government of India is focussing much on sport development.

An excellent showcase of talent and sportsmen spirit, the day concluded with high energy performances and the finalists looking forward to the grand finale of the CBSE national championship-2022 on 27/12/2022.
