In the words of Henry Ford- ‘Before everything else, getting ready is the secret of success’- thus, The Gaudium’s philosophy of arming our students with prudent foresight, being one step ahead of their competition and the landscape, fits into our archetypal model of excellence. Career Counselling at The Gaudium School is the process that primarily focuses on helping the students understand their own self, available career options and work-related trends, enabling them to make an informed decision about their future career aspirations and put in concerted efforts towards realising their ultimate goals. The adolescent age is when they try to ‘fit in’ and the guidance from a career counsellor can really help them make the right choices as early as the high school years. To that end, On March 8, 2022, we organised our first face-to-face University Fair post the COVID ordeal with Seattle University representatives.

Ms. Trish Henley – Associate Provost, Mr. Rick Fehrenbacher – Vice Provost of Seattle University provided insightful information about the admission requirements, improving the chances of admission by building a strong portfolio and bagging a scholarship.

The chance to meet universities head-on, interacting with official representatives, was the key benefit of the University event. In an after-event interaction, students spoke about the appeal of getting immediate personalized responses to questions, finding out more about the programs and funding opportunities on offer, and getting an idea of the application process – all reasons to attend in person, rather than just stick to online research.
