Greed is the tendency to selfish craving, grasping and hoarding. It is defined as a selfish or excessive desire for more than is needed or deserved, especially of money, wealth, food , or other possessions. Selfish and excessive desire is widely considered immoral, a violation of natural and divine law. Greed is compelling need to constantly acquire consume or possess more of something than is actually necessary or justifiable. We introduced the letter “D” in literacy by this theatre which also conveyed the message on greediness.

STUDENT ACTION: The geckos watched the “Greedy Dog” theatre performance and got introduced to the letter “D” in literacy. The geckos understood the moral of the story and shared the ideas the dog could do to enjoy his juicy bone instead of being greedy. They acquired information on ethical values of humanity and impact of misconceptions.

LEARNING OUTCOME: The geckos learnt the letter “D” and were able to identify the same. They observed the theatre and acquired knowledge on components of greed. The geckos have realized the moral of the story played and acknowledged the result of being greedy.
