The tug of war sport was practised in Egypt, Greece and China where it was held in a legend that the sun and moon played tug of war over the light and darkness.Tug of war is a sport that directly puts two or more teams against each other in a test of strength. Teams pull on opposite ends of a rope.To succeed in this sport, a team has to work together, encouraging true cooperation and team discipline. Letter “T” was introduced to the geckos in a creative way through this sport.

STUDENT ACTION:The geckos participated in the “TUG OF WAR” game and developed cooperating skill. The geckos have understood the importance of coordination and teamwork involved to win. The geckos have enhanced their social skills as their was collective work needed to play this sport. The children were very dynamic and energetic and had fun all through the activity. It was a energetic and dynamic introduction to the letter “T”.

LEARNING OUTCOME: The geckos were able to recognize the letter “T” and were also able to write it. They brainstormed to share the words starting from letter “T”. The children also realised how crucial cooperating and coordinating is to achieve a task. The children displayed creative attitude and created letter “T” by finger formations.
