Kids learn best when all their senses are engaged. Gardening or sowing seed is one such activity where all your senses are activated. Kids touch and feel the different textures of soil, plants, seeds and see different colours of nature. Its a great way to inculcate responsibility and ownership. In our endeavour to do so, at The Gaudium we practice organic farming and involve our geckos every year in seed sowing and plantations festival as a part of the Green Week. Geckos from grade 1 to 9 participated in the cerebrations where primary geckos sowed seeds and middle school planted saplings around the school campus. The enthusiasm and positive energy with which they did the plantations, has definitely been transferred into the saplings and seeds, we are all eagerly waiting for the first sprout and hoping the monsoons to support us through the season.
