The geckos of Grade 2 C conducted the morning assembly today. They confidently shared the thought for the day as well as the national and international news. This was followed by a short skit, demonstrating the importance of learning Mathematics. The geckos shared how learning Mathematics helps them calculate money, read time, know proportions and the count. The IB PYP principal, Mrs. Anjalika Sharma talked about the importance of the attributes of the Learner Profile and how we use them in our life. The assembly ended with the students and teachers singing the National Anthem together.
Can education move from merely imparting knowledge to showing how to apply that knowledge? Can we as parents move from mindless test-scores to a more meaningful method of evaluation? Can a child be taught to recognise and create value in everything he does? These were some questions that inspired The Gaudium. Gaudium means ‘Joy’ in Latin. At The Gaudium, we will help each child find joy through the core values of Integrity, Perseverance, Compassion, Appreciation, Humility, Respect and Tolerance.
