Diwali is the festival of lights which spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair. It is celebrated in different parts of our country by lighting diyas, decorating houses with colourful rangoli, distributing sweets, sharing quality time with family and friends and spreading joy and happiness in people around you.

The Gaudium school, Nanakramguda campus was decorated with beautiful rangoli patterns, paper lanterns and lamps to celebrate this festival. The staff and the geckos wore traditional clothes and greeted everyone with Diwali wishes. A special assembly was conducted on Diwali. The geckos learnt about why we celebrate Diwali through a narration of the story of Ramayana. They were encouraged to celebrate this festival by playing safe. The geckos were also made aware of the harmful effects of bursting crackers on humans, animals, plants and environment. The teachers shared various ways to have an eco-friendly and safe Diwali during the assembly.

The geckos painted beautiful earthen lamps for Diwali and distributed clothes, stationery and toys to the support staff of our campus to celebrate the ‘Joy of Giving’.
