POI topic being “ANIMALS”, facilitators of Nursery had organised an activity where geckos groomed their toy animals. geckos brought various toy animals which they had at their place and enjoyed grooming them. Geckos explicitly washed, cleansed and also brushed their fur using grooming kit. The geckos participated actively and identified different kinds of animals and ways of handling them carefully. Geckos tenderly carried the toy animals and expressed their affection towards the animals.Geckos became shared information and became knowledgeable by knowing facts and uses of different animals.They understood how human and animals are interdependent.They also discussed about the extinct and endangered animals. Children had a concrete understanding on characteristics of animals and this activity also inclined them to acquire vast information about different animals.
