The Cambridge International curriculum not only prepares students for life, helping them develop an informed curiosity and a lasting passion for learning but also helps them discover new abilities and a wider world. Among the major transitional stages in a student’s life, Grade 8 is one such stage where the student completes the Lower Secondary programme and enters the Upper Secondary or IGCSE. This stage prepares them for the Grade 10 IGCSE Exams by selecting suitable subjects for Grades 9 and 10. In continuum with the parent orientation session for Grade 8 students which was conducted last week, another virtual orientation session was conducted on 28th November 2020 which provided a detailed subject analysis on the subjects offered at The Gaudium in the IGCSE curriculum in Grades 9 and 10.

To be armed with detailed knowledge that will enable a student to make an informed and well-thought-out choice, the session projected each and every subject which are offered for the grades ahead. Details of structure, marks, weightage, exam duration, number of papers, and all possible elements were furnished and explained to the parents at the session. An open-house towards the end of the session also served as a good platform for the parents to get clarity to their queries. The parents were content with the session and were glad to know that the school authorities were there to help them out in case they needed further guidance.
