As a learning tool, storytelling can encourage students to express and communicate their thoughts and feelings. More than that, it improves their language skills, and instill in them the love for reading that stirs their imagination. To encourage the skills of listening, reading and communication skills, a week-long storytelling week – an event in which the parents participate as storytellers- was organized for the  geckos of Nursery.

The first day of the event was a Monday, 19th August, 2019. We invited the parents to read aloud a story to the young geckos and all of them turned out to be great storytellers. The geckos who listened to the stories felt enthusiastic and  immensely involved listening to the stories. They enjoyed sharing their understanding about the stories as well. It was an interactive week for the geckos with all the special ‘storytellers’.

We are very thankful to Ms. Divya Appasani, Ms. Neha Prashar, Ms. Anne Kancharla, Ms.Kalyani, Ms. Jayalakshmi, Ms. Bhavani Koneri, Mr. Nitin Joshi, Mr. Apoorva Bhargava and Ms.Alankritha Crystal for their enthusiasm and active participation in our gecko’s journey of learning through stories. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our parents who volunteered and actively participated in the storytelling week, making it an enjoyable and memorable experience for the little ones.
