The geckos of Grade 2B conducted the morning assembly on 14/09/2019. They started the assembly with the prayer song ‘Where the mind is without fear’. They shared the thought for the day! A quote by Harold Kushner – “When you are kind to others, it not only changes you, it changes the world”. The geckos then shared the current news as well as some interesting animal facts. This was followed by a short speech on the benefits of group singing. Group singing helps in building friendships, creates hope and empowers people to make the world a better place. A few scientifically proven facts about the benefits of group singing were shared which included, group singing lowers stress and relieves anxiety. They finally sang a group song “It’s a small world after all” and the assembly audience was encouraged to join in singing. The assembly ended with the staff and students singing the National Anthem.
