Mrs.Teena was invited for a guest lecture by Grade 1 on the topic “Money. She started her discussion with basic introduction about ‘Money’. She enlightened the Geckos by giving various facts about the currencies used now and in the past. The Geckos were shown specimen notes of money and explained how they can be exchanged for change with other notes and coins.She posed questions that if they had to pay to a vendor Rs.300 and if they dont have change and they pay Rs.500, how much money should they get back. The children participated enthusiastically in the discussion and enjoyed thoroughly. Going further, she also explained to the children about demonetisation in simple words.The children had lots of questions on why the currency which is in use was demonetised. Overall, it was a very interactive session ,wherein Geckos had fun in learning a lot of new things about money.They became more knowledgeable through this session.discussion with basic introduction about ‘Money’.
