On the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti, the CBSE wing of The Gaudium School organized a special assembly to celebrate the day and reflect on the enlightened teachings of Guru Nanak Dev who is also the founder of Sikhism. The geckos Ariev and Chaitra of Grade 7 CBSE rendered a wholesome and informative presentation on the spiritual leader and the ideas of casteless society and equality which the Guru advocated for. How exactly Guru Nanak Jayanti is celebrated by Sikh religion followers were portrayed in an edifying presentation by the students as well. The assembly also had a melodious musical rendition by the geckos and a remarkable video presentation which summarized the life lessons which one can administer to one’s own life from the teachings of the enlightened spiritual leader Guru Nanak. The address by the CBSE Coordinator and the Principal- CBSE & CAIE helped the students to connect the occasion, teachings of Guru Nanak with the core values of The Gaudium School and added to the austerity of the occasion. With the lamp of hope and positivity lit within, the students resumed their classes for the day feeling rejuvenated, thoughtful and inspired after the august assembly paying tribute to the great philosopher.
