Dussehra also known as Vijayadashami, is a major festival which is celebrated at the end of Navratri every year. It is a celebration of the victory of good over evil.

To celebrate this the Gaudium School team collaborated to organize the Cultural Night on 27 September 2019 (Friday). The school was a witness to the geckos, their parents, teachers and staff all dressed in colourful ethnic wear come together and dance to folk tunes of garba. Delicious chats, hot jalebi and cool soothing fruit juices filled each one with taste and energy. The brightly lit up campus, rhythmic musical beats and the supportive weather ensured that each of the stakeholders present on campus had a memorable time!

The celebrations ended with a lucky draw, where we had two surprise prizes for our special winners. Our youngest geckos were called to pick out two numbers from the bowl. Everyone was excited, hopeful and waited holding their breath to hear their number or name,

Ms. Madhavi, our admissions officer and Rian Peravalli, our gecko from grade 1 were the lucky winners for the evening! The funds collected from this evening would go into our gecko fund for community service, which is one of the most important learning for everyone- serving the community we came from and those who needs us the most!

It is these special moments when the entire community comes together that cultures thrive and we are assured that our heritage is in safe hands! This evening was an example of one such thought! The purpose of this cultural evening was to get all our stakeholders together – to enjoy and to further emerge as a stronger team! A community that comes together- enjoys more together – stays together to make a difference!
