As part of the Professional Development Program for the teachers a training was organized by the Training Department. An individual’s success is often determined not only by their talents and willingness to work but also their ability to work in a team and interact with others. The session with Mrs. Vani Reddy, Principal CAIE,  on interpersonal skills was an interactive one that involved an activity based on the Myers and Briggs Type Indicator. It involved answering a series of questions and determining personality types. The participants were then asked to present their views on how to interact with the various personality types. The teachers also shared their personal experiences which in turn initiated an in-depth discussion about the practicalities of the tips discussed earlier. This also gave the teachers new perspectives on how the same can be applied in a classroom setting while communicating with learners of various personality types with various preferences and comfort levels of interaction.
