The Gaudium School is the school of ‘Joy’ and it strives to excel in providing holistic development to all its stakeholders to ensure their wellbeing in all spheres. The crux of the ideology is heavily reliant on the five core values- respect, empathy, integrity, perseverance and gratitude while sculpting happy minds by imbibing the Happy Minds Model that encompasses Holistic Excellence, Core Values, Stakeholder Engagement, Global leadership and Mindfulness and Wellbeing.

Mindfulness and Wellbeing has been woven into the very fabric of the school where the school management is keen on providing means and opportunities to cater to the educational, professional and emotional needs of all. The Mindfulness Calendar sent to parents and the mindfulness sessions conducted in classrooms are aimed at involvement of parents and students in conducting mindful activities such as deep breathing, sensorial and self-awareness, and mindful movements which further propagates bonding. Parenting sessions and workshops on how to deal with stress have been instrumental in fostering better bonding between all. Faculty is often engaged in Yoga and Zumba sessions thereby creating a rejuvenating environment. Awareness sessions on Nutrition, Changes during Adolescence and Handling Emotions are conducted monthly and these have been pivotal in addressing the anxiety and the stress during the pandemic. The celebration of the International Yoga Day and International Music Day with fervour reflects the spirit of the school.

Furthermore, the school is constantly taking initiatives for the Wellbeing and digital wellness of all its stakeholders by organizing several programmes. Talking Titans is a step in allowing the students to interact with experts and eminent personalities and get exposure to become future-ready.  The Reading Programme is another initiative where students read books and analyse the themes while aligning them with the Core Values of the school. The book reviews that they write is a reflection of their mindful engagement with all aspects of the text. The management believes that each and every member is a part of the family and therefore their wellbeing will propel the school to newer heights. To ensure health and safety, the management has conducted vaccination drives and provided COVID Insurance to all its staff.

To cater to the educational needs of the students, the school has started a unique virtual forum, The Study Lounge, which gives an opportunity for students to interact one-on-one to clear their doubts. The TGS MUN (Model United Nations) is an attempt at enhancing research, public speaking and debating skills in students while creating awareness about current affairs. Teachers and Facilitators are given the prospect of professional development by attending mandatory sessions as well as enrolling for courses to enrich their learning. To address the emotional needs, there are countless sessions conducted to guide students and further assisted by an exceptionally dedicated team of Special Educators and Counselors to ensure the wellbeing of students at all levels

To this end, the school has well-planned and organized systems in place to further these initiatives. The parent portals are made accessible to parents to voice their concerns which are addressed with immediate effect. Feedback forms, Three Way Conferences and Pastoral Care sessions are other means of continued communication between parents, students and faculty.

In summation, in fostering and working towards the well-being of all its stakeholders, the school strives to create joyful learning experiences at The Gaudium School.
