Through real-life connections and hands-on experience, students are more likely to understand the concepts better. Field trips give such experiential learning to the children. Our PP2 geckos went to a field trip to Shilparamam to inquire and learn further about artefacts in connection with their ongoing inquiry under the theme.

Geckos were enthusiastic to observe artefacts from different time period which were beautifully displayed in Shilparamam. Children were fascinated by seeing the village set-up where they saw different usage of artefacts by villagers of olden age.

The students explored different types of materials used in making these artefacts. They also came across ancient farming tools, Cherial painting, pottery work, Kalahasti wood carving, Kalamkari craft, brass utensils and much more.

The students filled the post -reflection sheet to communicate their learning from this field trip.
