Language is omnipresent in the IB educational philosophy; the role of language is valued as central to developing critical thinking, which is essential for the cultivation of intercultural awareness, international-mindedness, and global citizenship.
The French Assembly for IB MYP-DP was held with the theme of The Gaudium’s one of the five core values ‘Empathy’. The Assembly was an amalgam of songs, videos, quiz and cultural knowledge about France and Francophone culture related to the value of Empathy. The Students became aware of the importance of intercultural and language competency around and learnt to respect the other cultures making them open minded Global Citizens.
