International Mindfulness Day is celebrated every year across the world to promote mindfulness and raise awareness about its benefits . It first started on 12th September, 2011 by the Wisdom Publication in Massachusetts .

Special assembly on “International Mindfulness Day” was celebrated across the school on the 13th of September. Through this event our students were able to connect with the benefits of mindfulness practices on an everyday basis. They were also enlightened with strategies to achieve mindfulness in simple ways through simple techniques of mindful eating, mindful listening and mindful talking. The students were able to reflect on the advantages of mindfulness in academics, health and social life which will surely help our geckos to connect to the global community and provide support as future leaders.
