Geckos of Grade 5 have been Inquiring on the topic ‘Human Migration Around the World’’ and as a part of this Inquiry cycle are ‘taking actions’ by celebrating the ‘International Migrants Day’ that is designated on 18th December by the General Assembly of United Nations. Migration day is observed globally to ensure protection of human rights. Since the dawn of human race people have been migrating to overcome adversity and to live a better life. In the recent years there has been tremendous increase in international migration from our country alone.

Student Actions: As a mark of respect the geckos sang ‘the migrants song’ in the Assembly and took part in a poster competition. The geckos gave a mini presentations of their posters explaining their learning on the theme. Ms. Fatima the grade 5 student gave a powerpoint presentation on ‘the migrants day’.
