Geckos of grade 3 and 4 had a guest lecture on ‘Simple machines’. Mr Ram a science faculty for higher grades had given a talk. It was a very interactive session. Students participated in the activities conducted. He demonstrated the working of lever, wheel and axle and pulley. Our geckos had good observation and reasoning skills. A fun learning session, kids tried pulling sir, using a plain sheet and then using a trolley to understand how a wheel and axle helps in reducing the effort. To understand the lever different activities were conducted. They also tried lifting heavier objects using the fixed pulley and  with a movable pulley. It was a productive and thought provoking session which helped the geckos not only understand the concept but made them open their mind’s eyes to the wonders of science around them.
