The KIC UnivAssist Education Fair represented a pivotal moment in our students’ academic journeys, offering them an invaluable window into the world of higher education possibilities. Students from CI AS Level, IBDP Year 1 & 2, and CBSE Grades 11 & 12 participated in this enriching experience that went far beyond a simple information session. Such interactions during the formative high school years are instrumental in shaping students’ perspectives about their futures, helping them understand that education transcends geographical boundaries and traditional career paths. When students engage directly with university representatives from different institutions, they begin to visualize themselves as global citizens capable of pursuing education anywhere in the world. These early exposures build confidence, broaden horizons, and plant the seeds of ambition that often determine the trajectory of their entire professional lives.
The event commenced with an insightful session on Unconventional Careers in DLC B, challenging students to think beyond typical career paths and discover innovative fields and emerging professions. Following this eye-opening discussion, the Education Fair took place in DLC A, featuring 10 prestigious U.S. universities:

Our students emerged with valuable insights that will guide their educational decisions. The opportunity to interact directly with university representatives allowed them to ask specific questions about programs, campus culture, and student life that website research cannot answer. They gained practical knowledge about application processes and what makes compelling candidates, while developing relationships with admissions counselors who can serve as ongoing resources. These face-to-face interactions humanized the college application process, helping students understand that universities genuinely want to know them as individuals with unique stories and talents. By exploring diverse global academic pathways during high school, our students are better equipped to make informed decisions and select universities where they can thrive.
