Embodying this proactive approach to learning, the students of IAYP along with Grade 5 took a highly meaningful step towards promoting road safety within their community. Recognizing that true understanding comes from practical application, these young advocates organized the impactful “Wear Your Helmet” Campaign. This vital initiative was brought to life in collaboration with the Sarvejana Foundation and was hosted directly at our school campus, successfully turning the familiar school grounds into a vibrant hub of safety education and advocacy.

During the campaign, the students took charge and actively spread awareness about the critical importance of wearing helmets while riding two-wheelers. Their hands-on approach included thoughtfully engaging with the community by distributing specialized helmet safety stickers to staff members. Furthermore, they took the initiative to place these stickers directly on the two-wheelers entering the campus. This direct, practical action beautifully bridged the gap between learning about safety in a classroom and enforcing it in the real world.

By spearheading these activities, our young students did much more than hand out stickers; they effectively encouraged everyone they interacted with to adopt safer riding habits. When children advocate for the safety of adults, the message carries a profound emotional weight that often prompts immediate behavioral change and deep reflection. Through this initiative, our young changemakers demonstrated remarkable responsibility and leadership, proving that children learn best when they are trusted to lead by example.
