Our Grade 4 students recently took to the stage to present a wonderful theatre performance based on Oscar Wilde’s timeless classic, The Selfish Giant. Through vibrant storytelling, the young actors brought to life a narrative that beautifully highlights the importance of kindness, empathy, and the joy of sharing. The audience watched in delight as the story unfolded, depicting the giant’s profound realization that welcoming others is the true secret to bringing warmth, life, and perpetual spring back to his once-frozen garden.
Beyond the captivating entertainment, this performance served as a vital platform for developing essential soft skills in our young learners. For children, participating in theatre is a masterclass in collaboration and effective communication. As they rehearsed and performed, these Grade 4 students learned the importance of active listening, taking cues, and relying on their peers.
