India is a great country known as the land of festivals, one of the famous and most celebrated festival is “Diwali”. It is celebrated to commemorate the returning of Lord Rama to the kingdom after the 14 years of exile. People of Ayodhya have shown their joy and happiness by lighting the lamps in the whole kingdom. It is the festival of sharing gifts,sweets, greetings and best wishes for “Diwali”.

STUDENT ACTION: The day of “Diwali” celebration started with sale of diyas made by the children and then all the geckos of Nursery,PP1,PP2 and Primary to Higher grades moved to Kollur campus. All the geckos came in glittering and blazing ethnic attire and brought sweets from home and shared among themselves. The geckos enthusiastically participated in various activities like music and dance, they also made “Diwali” greeting card and have taken it to their respective homes.The geckos also burnt crackers to make the celebration veritable.

LEARNING OUTCOME: The geckos knowledgeably got aware of the reason to celebrate “Diwali” and realized the purpose of it as well. The geckos diagnosed  warmth, tenderness and affection in a celebration. They also understood how a celebration amalgamates and displays culture of our country. Children embraced each other and learnt the importance of togetherness as it lead to joy and fun.
