Holi is the festival of colors. It is one of the most popular, vibrant, exciting and fun-filled festival of the year. Our PYP geckos welcomed Holi with great joy as we celebrate it on 20th March 2019. This was truly a celebration to witness. Even nature contributed its best by thrashing beautiful return of the colors as we entered the spring season.

It was clear that our geckos get ways to explore various cultures and their celebrations and which in turn helps them to embrace diversity. During the Holi celebration day at our campus, we could see that our geckos and Gaudium staff revive relationships and strengthen bonds between each other.

For this celebration, we conducted a special assembly and the participants included were playgroup and the Gaudium staff. In the assembly, the geckos were explained about the ways how one could celebrate Holi without any water play. They were even marked to remind themselves that it is each one of our duty to understand the scarcity of water and the need to save it and highlighted the significance of the festival. It was clearly spoken off the demerits of synthetic color and encouraged them to play eco-friendly Holi by using organic colors It was indeed a “learn with fun” day for everyone and very joyful experience for the children.

The enthusiasm of the geckos to celebrate Holi at the school with their peers reached its peak and matched with nature which is full bounty at the time of Holi. This celebration brought along with itself the shades of joy, fun, frolic, and optimism among the geckos. The campus was beautiful in its own way. The day was nothing less than its best. The smile waves of geckos were an amazing sight as they were so joyful through out the celebrations.

The festival of colors was celebrated with great enthusiasm. The heart of the celebrations was the “Holi Dance”. Geckos enjoyed to the fullest by dancing their hearts out and playing with the safe organic colors. The was the best instance where the day itself shouts out how a celebration can strengthen the bond of unity but also makes the environment stronger. By the end of the day, the vibrant blues, pinks and yellows made every member of the Gaudium school.
